Like the title says - let us use multiples of an item at once. Example: I currently have a hundred Android Helmsman artifacts... why not simply the ability to type "100" in the quantity box, hit "use", and bam.

Instead of having to click all over creation :P

Has been suggested so many times over the years without any effect, so don't hold your breath on this one.

Use them as you get them, problem solved.

2 mins or so of clicking a day.

What about for people that work all day without computer access, and only have a few minutes to clear resources from phones? Current high level players can have as many as 50-70 each of prisoners, scientists, helmsmen, brackets, and cells to click through by the end time they can finally get onto a computer. Eventually, we'll all be there.

50-70 of each, at 1 second for each use, a total of 5-6 mins and another 2-3 to use the rank points then. Still less than 10 minutes once you can get to a computer to play. Then once you get that finished, you are going to kill NPC for an hour or two, no? Ten minutes to upgrade your ship when you are going to spend hours playing anyway isn't really that much of an inconvenience.

I used about 300 prisoners, helmsmen, scientists, etc. etc the other day.
It wasn't hard.

There is so much downtime in this game. Use them during the downtime.
Waiting to invade (your timer is clear in 17 minutes)
Talking to a trader that isn't paying attention...
Waiting a few minutes on your raid timer
Waiting as someone takes the few minutes to lock a base
Elios debuff is a heck of a downtime
Open 2 browsers and just click them while reading through the forum...

Sooo much time to use artifacts.

Sure, the issue doesn't apply to everyone.

However, for people with internet connections like mine (0.1 Mbps down, 0.24 Mbps up after ~8 PM), it's a nightmare to even use 10 of each by the time I get home and get on my computer (usually 11 PM, though I do pull resources during the day from my phone because campus wifi is way better)

Exactly... as it stands, my connection can get so bogged down (Comcast has far too many people on our local node here... around 5:30 it all goes to hell, which is about the time I get home from work) and it can take upwards of 15-30 seconds sometimes for each action to complete...

Not related to OP, but WTH America... why don't more of you guys complain about your sucky internet service? And I don't mean just complain online, but actually try and get changes made? All I ever hear from Americans I talk to is that there is zero choice and the choices that do exist are slow and suck. Honestly don't understand it.

Back to OP. I still think it is a case of use as you get. If you pull on campus, why not use on campus? I am sure you have 5 minutes (Lunch?) where you could just use them up.
