Could we put a game clock somewhere at the top of the page? One that showed the same "Galactic Time and Date" to everyone.
I am hoping that would be an easy fix but it would be extremely useful.

With the reality of players from many different time zones this would be an awesome addition. It would make it so much easier to coordinate group actions if we could say "attack at 1800 hours" and nobody would have to do the math to figure out what their local time was.

I remember the time that I coordinated to take back a really good icy planet, where all the players involved were in different time zones, and my time turned out to be midnight!

I think it should be the same as pacific time because that is where Dan is, so it is the center of the galaxy.

I think the galactic clock should be completely independant of all time zones and all coordination should be based on the game clock . we could have a game clock where the galactic standard day is 33 and 3/33 hrs

I don't care just as long as its consistent. I thought the game clock was on a 20 hour cycle though.

that would make planning things more than a day in advance a little tricky. People would just use real world time and the whole concept would be pointless for anything more than a day in advance.

00:00 GMT should be used... it's a widely accepted standard and easiest to work from.

This is why the military uses a concept as Zulu Time. All you have to do is know where you stand, for example look at your computer's clock, it will ask for a time zone and in () have things like (UTC - 6). So if you just know where in the world you are you can easily adjust. EST(UTC-5), CST(UST-6), MST (UST-7), etc....
Seriously, I am surprised by the lack of use of this already known method.

good idea and the game already has a cloak on messages so good idea. Would also be good to have a leader or officer be able to post a gather time under the cloak for different things.

+1 Just use UTC http://www.time.gov/timezone.cgi?UTC/s/0/javaAlso Dan could you sync the hourly resource draws (A/M/R) to the top of the hour. It's off by about 3-5 minutes.

After talking to a few other players, it seems that your hourly draw time is synched to the time when you began playing - personally mine is at 46 minutes past the hour.

I am one of the top raiders and in defense of the people I attack, I don't mind the off chance that I am hitting at the wrong time and they have nothing to get. I think it would be an unfair advantage to us if we knew when to strike to ensure we get something. Also if some one raids me more than likely they wont get much, but I dont want them to know when my shipment comes in either.

I see your point. I thought everyone was at the top of the hour. At least it's easy for me to know when my shipment comes in.

-1 to this part. I also agree that would make things to easy and it would cause problems in how some of us who max our resources quickly, time things.
