Hi,

I'm finding it ever more difficult to monitor my planets, what upgrades they have, what upgrades they should get and a bunch of other things. So, i had this idea.

Would it be possible to provide a dataset in xml format of all the planets i have in my star chart? Would it be possible to extend that data for the planets i own and provide information on them such as what is installed, how many free spaces are left, the size, etc?

I figure that the list could be downloaded through the game and/or there could be a direct URL with some sort of secret hash (keeps people from hacking my list) that i could fetch?

It would be nice. People keep asking for this but no response. Personally, I would prefer comma delineated or something more generic (unless excel can read xml).

CSV/XML, it dont matter as long as we could get the data!

It really wouldnt be all that hard to do. I couldn't see it taking longer than 30 minutes to code something up ;(

I have suggested this before, some sort of downloadable form. XML, CSV, and probably others would work for me. So long as it is readable by both Open Office and Excel, most people should be covered.

Please DAN let us manage our planets better.
I have 50 planets and it's hard.
I can not imagine when I get to 100 like some of "The Dysonians" have.
Are you making it difficult to manage planets purposely for gaming reasons.
Is it difficult to add more columns in the planet view or for players to download their database of planets?

I couldn't imagine having 100 planets and having to go through them one by one to see what upgrades i could apply and/or upgrading the production elements. My god, what a night make, infact, its almost enough to make me want to quit playing...almost!
