I've been doing a lot of upgrading lately, hulls and shields and such. Every time you change hulls you have to pay for the upgrade and then pay for the repairs. Same for shields and energy, except you have to wait for them to recharge. Would it be possible to get an upgrade button along with the "install new module" button?

As it stands right now you would sell the old module and buy the new, could you somehow take the selling price away from the cost of the new module when applied?

I like this idea (mostly). Right now my standard build has 4 heavy antiproton cannons, to upgrade those to light null ray guns will cost me 2.8 billion plus minerals. Can't afford it at the moment. So I'm all for getting something out of the part that is being replaced. But... I don't think you should automatically get a full charge on cores or shields. When you have to replace the battery in your iphone, you still have to charge it the first time. As far as hull goes, yeah, full numbers there. Its like putting a new fender on your car.

Over the course of the game, I do alot of core/weapon swapping but I only do upgrades when i'm about to level. that way i dont have to pay for the fill.
