With all of our alerts being shown in one list important notices, such as attacks on planets, can sometimes get lost in a sea of NPC alerts and the like.

This could be resolved by having different colours represent different entries in the log, or better yet being able to filter what types of alerts you want to see. Walking up and making sure you didn't loose a planet would be a lot simpler as would looking for who attacked your legion or whatever.

I like this idea

Actually, I think that NPC alerts should not show up in the log at all since they are accessible from the battle tab. You wouldn't know about the ones you missed but oh well, at least the log would be easier to read. I hope the pop up notices can be maintained without them going into the log.

Otherwise, I like the idea. There are too many items that go into one list. Colors are one way of keeping track, tabs would be another.

If the log itself was tabbed so you could filter what you want to see and what you don't.. that would work better than colours.
