what about trading credits and Exotic Matter for energy so you use Exotic Matter and money for exchange in energy

that would be cool... like convert it to fuel for the reactors like in futurama? i would be down for that. get a little extra boost when you reap your mining profits.

its like giving all the high level players an unlimited stores of energy...
That would benefit me but I dont want the game to be more unbalanced

it could scale by 100 levels, like the radiant surge cannon. To get a boost you need to convert them into Exotic Fuel Cells
1-99: 1 exotic matter for 1 energy 100-199: 10 exotic matter for 1 energy 200-299: 50 exotic matter for 1 energy 300-399: 100 exotic matter for 1 energy 400-499: 200 exotic matter for 1 energy
and so on...

I've seen some of the higher-level players begging for more uses for exotic matter... Sounds like they might have and overabundance of it. I agree with Remric.

and so on... that scale is too low. make it: 1-30 1 exotic for 1 energy 31-60 2 exotic for 1 energy 61-90 4 exotic for 1 energy 91-120 7 exotic for 1 energy etc. every 30 ranks it scale up. so the amount of exotic matter increased by 1 the first scaling 2 for the second 3 for the 3rd etc.

Let me put it this way. I have 93,064 exotic matter as of right now. I get around 200 every hour. So you have to think if it would still be worth it with us getting this amount. For Vekno's scale I would get one energy every two hours. For ExSeaD's scale I don't know for sure. I don't want to take the time to add all that up to rank 522. lol But at the way its going I bet it would take less time for me to get free energy. I would say for the high ranks it wouldn't be worth it till we save up at least 100K either way. Most of our missions now cost more than 125 energy the way it is. And to get a lock on a boss type it would take like 50 energy (Depending on what it is.)

I currently have 26,760 exotic matter. I have used another 383,250 that I used to make star chart purgers. All total I would say I have collected more than 500,000 units of exotic matter over the course of the game
If you allowed matter to energy conversion, I would be unstoppable.
