An added backstory to Galaxy Legion would be the inclusion of religion. It might not even have any tangible game effect, but could set a ton of goal-based mission chains (like the whole incident with the Glaviz Device, an Exotica with a twist, or a Galactic Crusade), religious artifacts (inspired by Nocifer Deathblade's post about Earth), and a religious favor (as a parallel to political favor). This could lead to some interesting roleplay involved in PvP and add a little extra immersion into the game.

If they do present a game effect, it would work as a addition to the Race/Profession layout.

As a last note, these religions would be entirely fictional with no ties to real religions other than for inspiration)

you know, honestly i really really like this idea, i think the idea of finding more about the government of the species would be pretty cool too, or even being able to run against other players for the konqul dictat-i mean presidency. but finding more about the species i chose to play as would be really cool, i would like to know how humans got from where we are today to being interstellar, i think that dan and company could come up with some really awesome storylines.
