 Legion Central and wars

How about having some sort of a "legion central command" A base where legion can put personal funds and research into in order to upgrade its facilities. Factories can produce inique items and artifacts for its members... The station would pay a a certain percentage to legion members. So upgrading it is beneficial.
As for wars, Legions can mutually agree to war. There, the base will give members combat bonuses. Unless legion does not agree for such war, their side would not get combat bonus if they get attacked. Signing war would also allow it to be attacked by enemy legion and vise versa. Upgraded defences and weaponry count in this case...

It has. There has been starbases (first suggested by me in the legion thread before the change), homeworlds, and others.

Actually yes there have been many post with a general idea along these lines I think its a great
idea and would love to see it implemented into the game but it also has to have some balancing mechanism as well as you really cant have a legion of 50 declaring war on a legion of 20 if its a ship to ship basis , and you also couldn't have a legion of 50 rank 150+ players declaring war on a legion of 50 rank 75+ players as it would definitley be imbalanced .

Agreed. It's a good idea, and "balancing" would make it more popular. Similar games have implemented balancing by limiting the scope of combined attack to the lesser number of players among the involved parties (for example, a legion of 50 could only bring 20 players to a war on another legion of 20), or by providing a stochastic "defensive advantage" (aka a home-team advantage) to the legion which is under attack.

Seems to be a few current strings on war. I like the idea of wars, and as you can see in the war mode string there is some really great ideas on it. The ideas here fit into it very well too. In the war mode string we are talking about awards for winning the war, ways of declaring, avoiding or surrendering during war, timers and such. I think the legion station idea plays into this great, here we could have all the war information; declarations and such; being able to do legion missions to increase the overall legions abilities in war, like collective attacks and such; the reward could then be a bonus to the legion station to strengthen it during war. This could lead to an entire new section of the game which would keep people playing and importantly for Dan paying for the game. I think as for the balancing mechanism for war it should only be based on average level of the legion, not sure how far out you would make the limit though. I would not have a restriction to legion size though that is one of the advantages to having a larger legion, more war power. I love this game and love the ideas here in the forum to make it even better.
