The Legions are limited to 50 players now, but anyone with a second or third account can shift between legions and coordinate multiple legions together, giving those legions an unfair advantage over others. It also allows for spying into a legion and taking planet and ship information to a different legion that would not have had access to that information other wise. Maybe once the legion vs legion is more developed, we can create a legion spying system, but to allow ships to legion jump now is not right. So I purpose that a one week timer be applied to any one who voluntarily leaves a legion and a immediate clearing pf all communications from the legion they leave.

One if you suspect someone of running multiple accounts then speak up and let dan know! I have no trouble of having your ship 'cleared' when switching legions. I do have a problem with waiting for the change to occur.

I suggested the idea of a timer to make people consider before they leave. You could be full and turning down great reliable players and next week find out half your legion left. Now all of you planets are at 50%. All of those great players are now in other legions and attacking you. If you get booted out of a legion, I think there should be little or no timer. Maybe it should be two days, maybe a month, that is the great thing about a forum is we get to discuss it, and Thank You Brian for your input. I would really like to see some other voice their ideas also.

I confirm that two associated legions were having comms chatter consistent with cross legion information sharing and legion shifting. When a third of a legion are officers ...
I support the one week button. This provides time for comms history and news to be purged of tracks, makes legion leap frogging unpractical and closes a gap currently used as an exploit.

I guess too many people are cheating and jumping legions to talk on this one, which is probably why it needs to be done

I dunno about a week, but maybe a 12 or 24 hour time would be sufficient.
+1 on a 12 or 24 hour timer.

I noticed when I did jump from my first legion to PA, that I had lost access to the elite NPC that I had worked on there. When I returned home the next day (PA had entered a cease-fire) I found I was able to reaccess the elite. I was happy and surprised, but it had occured to me then that cross sharing could be a dangerous thing. The only thing is, if everyone can do it, what's the problem? It's no more a big deal when someone jumps out of their legion and into another to share a pesky enemy with another 50 players... LoL
I think this is already combatted by the limit on 'sharing.' But maybe, you should only be allowed to access something shared to you by a legion while you're in that legion. Comms and anything shared to you by a mate should be unaccessible while you're gone. I don't think a long lockout is what's needed here.

~ Drake Definitely. I once had a member leave, and before they left they wanted to give a goodbye present of a crystal planet. They didn't know that the share would stop as soon as they left.
