Dan, What if you make a random encounter planet? This planet would spawn randomly like a rare npc in the battle tab. It would have massive defensive so it would take the whole legion to take it down. Then once it is captured it would become a legion planet for lets say 1 week. Once the planet is taken over a self destruction is set into affect and it gets broadcasted out like a beacon to all other players. And then the capturing legion would have to defend it. If they are successful in defending it they get a great catch of ancient teck from the planet ruins, if they fail to defend the planet then the capturing team would have a chance to hold it for the remaining time at the cost of a smaller reward due to the fact they have less time to exsplore before the planet goes boom. Seeing it is only available for 5 days at a time if you fail to invade the planet you are locked out until the next time this planet spawns, this will make it have to be a legion effort to invade the planet. Also if you, the defending legion, are over run from the planet you get locked out for remaing time and the new person claims ownership for their legion. Warping a ship from the planet is not allowed, however once a ship has been destroyed from being targeted on the planet they are locked out for the remainder of the time as well. As for a reward it can be just about any artifact but all legion members get to receive that took part in defending the planet. Make it a selectable reward…. Or even say 15-25 glp enough to buy the artifact they want. |
