Gotta say I still love the fact that Dan is still and constantly improving the game. I would suggest an old stlye comm and a chat interface also. The new comm/chat is too small, has a tiny timeframe window, and after a while the slide bar to scroll cannot even be seen, much less moved/used. It's a good idea, but is a poor replacement for what was, and why I'd say both.

I too think a "Captain's log" type system would be a great add to send a blanket legion message/update.

Last I would love to see a change to the legion alert setup. We have had cases where 1 member has been hit/raided/hacked gang-style by 5-10 members of another legion, but he could only post one of the attackers per 12 hrs.... way too long when you are getting hammered by 10 people and your legion can only sit by and watch. Perhaps make it so that if someone is attacked by multiple enemies they get additional alerts, or even set up a "distress call" where all legion members can view and link to all ships that attacked that player in the last hour... something.

Thanks Dan for the consideration

How bout making it so a player can alert each attacker/hacker/raider once every 12 hours .

Meaning if i get hit by X y and Z in the space of an hour I can alert legion to each one but cannot alert again for these individuals again for another 12 hrs but then 20 minutes later a b and c hit me too I can alert those as well but a 12 hour timer starts on each as well.

I don't like the fact they took down the old one where important messages wont be drowned out by meaningless chat.

I think we need both. The old Legion Chat, and the new one. One keeps us in contact with immediate need events, and the other with some "less time sensitive" events. So if it's not too much trouble, just re-activate the old functionality and keep the new and we get the best of all.

If a Legion needs more than that, they can get a webpage or forum of their own.

I love the new chat now that the archive is available. Shows messages for months not just a day or so. Great addition now that it has the archive.

I have a couple of suggestions for the comm system.

1. Make the chat window bigger. GL page can be extended down a couple hundred pixels to accomodate this.

2. Add scrolling arrows on the scroll bar, like on PC and Mac windows.

3. A good example of an effective in-game chat board can be found in the "Space Empires: Battle for Supremacy" game on Facebook. I know its usually not a good idea to talk about other games here, but I think its relevant for this situation.

heres another addon to that... if your going to have the chat thing, at least dont have the messages delete >.> i always come on to a fairly talkative legion and there are no messages at all. kind of annoying going from the other chat where it saved everything

Solnavi- there new chat saves much more than the old one. Go to your legion archive and it saves back all the chat logs. This also takes care of the problem of the space being too small and the little scroll. Go you the legion archive and it is all there large and easy to scroll.
