Trade market converting to a stockmarket
idea by just me

There have been countless simple games based on a fluctuating market. i.e buy a product at a low price, wait for prices to rise and sell at a profit. We used to play similar games like these at school using html programing. Is it possible to implement a stock market feel to the Trade system, that way it is a little more hands on then: get minerals and sell all. This will allow ppl who are wanting to make a quick profit without using energy points able to do so. I would suggest using a simple system of random value generation. Using your current price as the Average price listing and have it flucuate by up to 50% up and down. You can have it set to change price every hour or every few hours ect. This would make cargo space and the trading system a more usuable And attractive element to the game.

Thanks Nathan

Mineral prices do fluctuate but so many have been sold and bought it will take a month for the price to change again. I beleive that it shoudl be reset so it starts changing again(Not the price, i mean the ammount sold and bought).

If this was applied to artifacts that would be great! I give a +1 to this idea.

Something definitely needs to be adjusted in the system, since the prices haven't changed at all since at least June. The older players have posted about the previous costs though so there has definitely been a change. I'd prefer it if there was at the very least a visible daily variation though.

i agree a daily change in prices will add just that little extra to gameplay. does the value go up or down? do i hold my minerals another day or sell everything now? just adds that element. And even without energy there is still something i can do.

A good daily variation would make mineral trading simmilar to the stock market. You would be able to buy low and sell high to make a profit.
