Post subject:  Hackable NPCs

The Galaxy is rough for Hackers, and new legions will make it worse, each hack attempt will lead to full legion retaliation :D
Every ship has a Database of planets, so why not NPCs ?

We could see it as follow:

- Every NPC ship allows 1 hack attempt on them (5 E)
- depending on your cloak / scan etc. The result could lead to Critical Failure (10 E loss) / Failure (no gain) / Sucess (RP gain) / Critical sucess (new planet discovered).

This way players will have more reasons to invest / research cloak & scan tech ...

not true. i have disabled a few ships and involved in a planet invasion... i may have been alerted, but not attacked by anyone other than the guy himself. hack away.

The other point is that NPCs don't have traps ...

Alot of players went to NPCs bashing rather than pvping also because of that ...

I have the feeling that people who focus on Cloaking tech really don't benefit so much of it. They research, they pay high price, they install something that takes a lot of space and for what? Being at 0 cloak all the time because of traps AND not being able to counter hack properly if an enemy hacker uses positron clouder ... You got to admit, researching on def / atk tech is much more profitable ...
