Dan, WOuld it be possible to create a module that allows you to dump more energy into an attack? An energy focuser that used say 10 energy instead of 5 for double the damage and maybe a slightly higher crit chance or something. This way if i run across a big enemy I don't have to click the button two dozen or more times. Though I would still invest the same amount of energy. It would help with reducing server load which is why games like Castle Age did it, but it would also reward people that were willing to commit to taking down big NPCs. If there were actual benefits like increased XP or crit chances maybe it could cost up to a few decks. Also it should be possible to hack NPCs, instead of getting research you could try disabling NPC systems. Lowering Attack or Defense, this way if your someone who hasn't invested massively in one certain research path you might still have a chance of damaging rares or better NPCs. Also it could be a way to aquire additional coordiates for planets. Not say as in one hack gets you the whole thing, but rather a few success or critical success could get pieces like part of a map. In addition I don't know if this is already implemented but are there currently NPCs that you have to have a certain level of scanning to detect. You know that if they have a hundred or three hundred cloak that they wouldn't show up in a players availible to attack NPCs? |

I like that idea. Especially because of the damage/attack cap that was created for the smaller players. |
