as i have no idea how to code maybe we could get someone to make a ship rank/deck loadout calculator?

it would be good for all of us that are getting tired of having stacks of paper with different calculations on deck loadouts/rank point allocations/etc

i know i wouldnt be the only one that would use it =P.

as i dont really know what making these type of calculators takes. it would prolly be easiest to use the ship tab style from the actual game. like the Ship Crew & Size tab for the Rank/Rank Point part of the calculator. and the other tabs for the assosiated items ya know weapons/defenses/hull/energy/devices. i know that some people have yet to max all the tech out yet but most of the info is on the wiki as far as module stats go.

You mentioned that you already have 'stacks of paper' with this info. What kind of charts are you already doing that you would like to see automated? Examples please.

oh i have done the math for several loadouts so i dont spend ponts in things that i dont need. like right now i have complete loadouts for my current character up to level 476. i also did the research to have a max loadout(all modules at their max ship limit) except npc and tier rewards Sillix ship at lvl 380. i have stat calculations for most of the races as to how much of their certain stats they will have with either large sums of rank points spent on by certain levels. like how much cloak would a level 400 spy would have with the known top cloaking research. there is a lot of stuff ive researched.

as far as automated id have to say these items would be nice:

Race(bonus): pretty self explanetory
Profession(bonus): self explanetory
Rank: input what rank you would like here
Rank points remaning: ammount of rank points you have to spend at the desired level.
spending it in the desired field
and for the module tabs do the same as the actual game and open up install/build menu with a list of all researchable items for the designated field. if that helps.

You mean a ship builder calculator? Cool, but too much work for me and I only need a general idea of where I'm going. (and that is 8 cannons!)

well if you want pure cannons to use the currently known highest weapon would require 8 x 32 size so 312 decks just for cannons.

weird, I've just put all my points in decks and hoped that artifacts would allow me to have some cargo. Hope has been lame recently. If I actually calculated the equivalent rank points I've gotten from artifacts it would be substantial enough to mitigate the validity of a plan like that. I have 40 more decks than possibles, 145 more cargo than possible with a pure decks strategy, and crew are even harder to calculate considering how many I got early on.
