I have had some difficulty doing PvP in the low-mid 100s as everyone seems to have their ship booby-trapped (myself included). I hack or attack and am suddenly saddled with a debuff that prevents me from doing either for hours.

Today, for instance, I go through my battle tab and find someone a couple levels within my range. 900 cloak. POW firewall trap. Well, no hacking for 8 hours so I load for bear....guns, defense, etc, around 1100 att, 600 def.

Again, I find someone in my range in the battle tab...I hit attack and POW halcyon trap. No PvP for 4 hours.

Could we talk about perhaps having your scan/cloak/attack abilities disrupt these defenses if they beat the defenders base defense against them by a certain percentage? Or at least if your scanning is high enough you can detect the trap and find another target? Not being able to do anything but hang around in space for half a day is rather silly.

It is faintly ridiculous at this point in my opinion. I LIKE PvP and find I really cannot do it much at all anymore.

I agree with the idea of being able to see a trap in a scan.

I had a "crew skill" idea on my overhaul thread that fits this idea.
