I know
but the system usealy doesnt Work like that
take any upgraderble system
Cosmic Rail (size 20, Attack +360, Defense +360, Cloak +360, Energy +360 (500% Upgrade)) and 500% upgrade = 6* the stats it started with
and if the system transform once it have gotten it's final upgrade - it keeps the stats but gain an ability or fixed bonus
like T.O. Heliofield (size 25, Shield +900 (200% Upgrade)) and T.O. Heliofield Effect : Shield +5% for dooing it's final upgrade or Tejiar Capitol Barrier (size 25, Shield +600) and Activated Ability

no reason that it cant. like the raix plating after the % upgrade has gone and it has logicaly been transformed into a different module. Theres no reason why at full upgrade a module couldn't transform and provide an additional 1 charge rate rather than an ability.

Energy is not that bad if you NPC. I have 33k energy and I can do the Klorvis, Raix missions and have plenty left to donate to the base. If all you do is base attack and not NPC, could see how you have that problem Golgotha.

dude the main problem is we don't have the fricking time to spend a hour npcing then doing alot of other stuff.... it's people that don't spend a hour sitting around playing gl every day that are complaining, as we don't have enough energy to get far on missions before running out. not saying it's bad to spend that time npcing, it's your time to spend not ours.

If you don't have an hour to spend, then there should be no problem with energy regeneration as you should have plenty of time to let your energy rebuild.....

To refill my tank from empty would take 11 days. i.e - if i need to spend all my energy on legion missions instantly, I can now not effectively play GL for up to 11 days. My suggestion was to reduce this down to about 3 days. Long enough that people will still want to buy refills, short enough that they do not give up. Gah, I said I would stop talking about this. Why can I never help myself

I do agree with you. "Go NPC" is not a good enough answer to something that has been the same for a long time as the conditions get more and more expensive energy wise.
My energy bar is 40x my rank if not higher at times and every now and then its still not enough... Where do we draw the line?
Now I know it wouldn't take much NPCing to counteract spending say 50k energy in the lab. But I don't want to NPC... Its not the answer to everyone's energy problems.
We have a 2% bonus to artifact coming from an ally We have a 3% bonus to attack coming from an ally We have a 5% bonus to defense coming from an ally We have a 5% bonus to cloak coming from an ally We have a 5% bonus to scan on a timer coming from an ally once its level 100.
I think we could do with atleast % energy bonus other than Inergon?
New content is going to cost even more energy that much we can tell but where does the line end between insanity and giving the players some hope and relief
Rank 2892 I get 5497 energy from my ship mods and allies. The other 100001 energy comes from the vast amount of engineers I have collected on my way towards my goals.

Why can I never help myself Definitely agree with what golgotha has said, 3 days I feel is a reasonable thing to ask. Shouldn't have to npc as much just to do the tasks on a reasonable time frame. I feel as though there needs to be a compromise with how intense the energy requirements of these missions are getting, particularly with legion missions as everyone in the legion wants to do their best for the sake of the legion. There needs to be a balance between making people choose where to spend energy and not driving people who aren't energy builds into becoming collectors if they don't have the spare time to npc. anyway thats my thoughts.

i agree that it should not be a job ... but then you also should not be burning all your energy on a legion mission if you know that it will cripple you for energy for 11 days. if you do decide to take the plunge, burn an energy cube or tri.matrix to get back up to speed.

we need more ways to burn spare energy Another example of someone who doesn't understand the topic of this thread... No one is moaning... I could easily say that there is not a problem because my energy bar is 40x my rank so I can rank on 1:1 exp:energy missions. But that is not the case. If I go mad in the lab and spend all my energy, it would take me 36 days to refill my energy bar with the current 120/hour regeneration. "Use a refill" is not an option for me as those are saved for when I do the purger mission. The energy demands keep getting higher and the exp rewards are getting less and it has been happening for months now. Where do we draw the line between insanity and giving the players some relief. Who's to say the next fortnightly mission will be a 1:1 exp:energy ratio like the end of the raix mission. Things are not going to get any easier with newer and higher level content. Not to mention all the current daily sinkholes that eat energy with NO exp reward.

I hear you man, but this is one of my long term hunches about a problem that is going to continue to escalate to a greater degree. The legion in general struggled to do the last set of storyline missions, then a whole bunch of incredibly harsh legion missions came out, that caused similar struggles. Now add on the Raix Mission at the same time as the other two. There is NO way they will be able to do all three at the same time, long term. Not with a 20:1 ratio. Not with a 30:1 ratio. Only by NPC'ing for hours every day, and devoting the left over energy to one of these tasks, and continuing to NPC till all three tasks are completed every day. Trimatrix and cubes work short term, but they do not drop fast enough to counter the problem. I suspect Dan has set this up to keep people busy till everyone has a ship like Hall, which you could say is technically inevitable with artifact production - anyone who earns enough artifact grows stronger faster than they can level. However, I feel that without something to allow them to play meaningfully till then, without feeling pointless or having to npc all day every day, we will lose more and more players. As I said, this is a hunch. Its the same feeling that lead me to investigate damage caps, the same one that lead to me proposing boss NPC's requiring teamwork, and the same one that makes me regularly try to come up with ways to balance high level combat. Others had similar ideas, and many others disagreed with my ideas. I just feel that restricting players to "Have massive Engineers" OR "NPC non stop all day" OR "Do not do missions" is a poor idea.

I just feel that restricting players to "Have massive Engineers" OR "NPC non stop all day" OR "Do not do missions" is a poor idea. i agree that 'do not do missions' if that is what it becomes, is a bad thing. but i think that some players just are not willing to change with the changing game. we saw that with the SSB.pokers who said that SSB was a waste of time ... until a few months down the road when those same high.flyers were suddenly complaining that something had to be done about the SSB menace. instead of adapting, they fell back to whining. in the energy case (and also the EM case), there are players that had grown used to being able to do everything at once without worrying about planning ahead. the recent changes means that continuing in that fashion will get you into trouble. my feeling is that while your warning is valid and should be taken note of by Dan, but that he should wait to see how the player base tries to adjust (if it can) before any tweaks are brought in to address any ongoing issues. me, i started stockpiling EM a couple months ago to burn off on the temporal flux mission ... and now with the EM market changed, i will have to look to gettting a few more toxics. i have been an energy hog since december of 2012 - mostly to ensure that my energy cubes and emblems would be of maximum value, but it worked out when legion missions came out, so i continued with my 1:1 ratio. if you look at the ship log showdown ... you can see that a few players have not neglected engineers. senatorhung's analysis: ship log showdown !; SSB strategy; leader in: Ancient Untouchables
