Since were on the topic of balancing why dont we set a level cap say Rank 700, and then just refill the energy and add 5 rank points every time that player makes about 25k experience... That way everyone can make it up to level 700 and then we can fight on same ranks... Then it would only be a fight on who designs a better ship. That wouldn't really solve the whole problem, while it would cause people to have to eventually change their palnets/ what they have on them and put a (on a level) cap on resource production it wouldnt stop people from being so far ahead that they're un-catchable. The way these games work people have to be able to progress at rates in which the weaker can progress faster then the stronger, otherwise well have people like the Dysonians so far ahead of everyone else that even those of us who do pay regularly will not be able to catch up. In short, the game has to work so that the weak can become strong, not the strong stay strong for it to be popular.

In short, the game has to work so that the weak can become strong, not the strong stay strong for it to be popular. If your suggestion was to put a resource production cap then I would personally agree with you.. We should have a rank cap somewhere. Imagine this game has only been online this year and we already have rank 600+.. give it two more years and we will have rank 2000+ even 3000+. surely Dan has to put a stop on ranking up.. I don't know where but 700 seemed to be good since PSIcore is still below that number. Resource production cap is really a great idea. Its a way to make things balance. The only thing I don't like is you pointing at our legion and making us appear as though were the only ones with powerful players.. when we banded together there was only a few members above 200. We ranked up with cubes and energy refill so we can benifit from the NPC shares that our high ranking players were sharing. Its not our fault that most of the other players don't want to do the same and then cry "FOUL!!! the game is getting to be unbalanced." The legion that you are finger pointing did a careful approach with the membership.. It took us months to get enough players to join in I don't really think its our fault that you guys choose to get a wide range of rank for your players.

True communism never works because humanity always wanders down the road of greed and corruption. It is an idealistic utopia on paper that can never come to fruition.

Human nature always gets in the way of the greater (common) good. In human history so far, communism has always developed into an oligarchy because of these failings. Anyway, it was a joke...

Too late now. You are all Marxio bros. to me! I believe that democracy is working well for me I really like the thread idea. I find all NPC hard to kill enough without traps.

That wouldn't balance it just because it would say people are the same level, the people who'd been playing longer would still have a much strong ship if they can still get rank points after getting more experience, and they'd be getting artifacts to make their ship better for longer. It would only balance the game to have a cap on the all the stats of the ship.

I think timers for most traps have been made way too short. Most folks can't live in game. It may take a day at least for most folks to notice an activity has occurred. This is a long term opened ended game. If you cause a timer to be tripped then you should deal with it. Maybe its intent is to modify your bad behavior on the first place? A time out for the bad kiddo? Heh I also think traps should autoreset...

It would really make more sense if being pacified stopped you from fighting NPCs. Or maybe if NPC effects couldn't be negated by containment cages.

Yeah... um... ok... I don't think it's tryptophan, bub... You need to learn how to recognize banter and when NOT to interject completely meaningless/nonsensical remarks into the middle.
