Agreed - putting scanners on during late hours is a good way to reduce and prevent the affects of hacking.
With that said, there is now a new hack trap available...

Thanks Dan, the new trap really helps. I see you got inspired for the name by my Advanced Firewall idea and for the effects by my Counter-Virus idea(except you changed it from doing hacks for a certain amount of time to cloaking).

It kills the hacking gameplay ... Why 8H? All anti attack traps are 0 sec - 30mn - 4H max penalty ... And the 4H penalty is protecting the attacker from attacks ... Now the hacker get traped and is all alone for 8H with less defense than others because he installed more cloak devices ... Make it fair please.

fair? it's perfect! I fell victim to one when I got about 50 research, and I became perfect punching bag for other hackers loosing about 100! I am angry I lost more than I got, but happy that it was the perfect kind of payback!

Even Krionus is 90% and lasts only 30 minutes while this is 99.99% and lasts 8 Hours.

If someone disables me, all I lose is the repair cost in credits. Hacking takes research points that I can only wait for my planet production (Or spend GP). Hacking is harder to recover from for the victim, so the trap is more harsh.
