Yes it would be nice to have on are ship in its own tab a list of 5-10 artifacts that you would like sent to you if people have spares. This will show for are legion and gives a legion wide ships log that we did it changed it. This way it is easier to give artifacts. Though I would also say you need to get a copy of the artifact first before you could add it to your list. Things you cannot give would also not show up even if you get a copy.

I would like an amendment to that.

If someone raids and steals your only artifact of a type- like if you only had 1 energy cube and someone raids that from you... Then call your legion to kill that guy and raid him for the artifact back, then the legion who raided that artifact should be able to give it back to the original artifact's owner.

Its like a bully or thief hitting you, then you get someone bigger to beat him up, then the big guy gives back what the guy stole from you.

Most of the good artifacts get used right away. I guess if I was about to install new reactors I might hold off on an energy cube... not any more though... I've hidden all my legion members from my facebook newsfeed. I hope I'm not missing too much. I wish I could un-hide GL.

Yes many get used right away, but if the option is not there people cant know that you are looking for it at all. Many of them that could be used I might not want right now. If I know someone wants it then I could send it.
