I would love, and I am sure others would too, to see a vacation mode soon. With the summer and people doing camping, trips, etc computer access will not always be available.

Those of use who will be gone for a week or more will lose quite a bit. And yes, real life is more important, but I don't want to lose my time I spent on my ship/character.

It would need to have limitations...

-12 hrs before and after vacation mode you can be attacked/hacked/raided but can't in return.
-During this time your research limit is tripled, but you lose that extra limit 24 hrs after vacation mode ends.
-You get the choice of VM being 5 days, 8 days, 12 days, etc. Making the max 3-4 weeks. Any longer shouldn't be needed. Perhaps the research limit boost can be tied into how long your VM is.
-Your planets are immune to attack until you are out of VM.


Just some ideas for it.

I think that having a vacation mode would be nice as well. However if there is on I think that all production should stop. If you keep growing even while your gone and you get a bonus on how much you can have as well then whats stopping players to go into vacation mode just for the extra benefits and not have the worry's of being attacked, raided, invaded, or hacked.

This may just be me but I play star fleet commander (extreme) as well and this is what they do there when you go into (v) mode and it works so much better as far as I have found.

very true, as I said just ideas. No production wouldn't bother me on VM, don't plan on being online anyway.
