 Make base combat more interesting

Ok Basing for most people is pretty straight forward you whack a base, then raid it/get your badages. The person you whacked loses half their production. This IMO is rather dull the peneltys are fixed and their is little incentive to keep your base alive, (50% of your production for many of us isn't that much compared to what we get). My suggestion, Make the survival of your base produce gradually more and more resources, so stay undefeated for a month add an extra 10% on, stay for 3 months another 10% ect ect ect. If you get disabled it resets to 0. To add some extra incentive to the people disabling the bases, make it so that the top longest undefeated bases are a score board like the top pvpers, where you don't need badges to lock them and temporary titles like "slayer of _______" for people who manage to take the base down. Thoughts?

+1 to more bonuses for bases that stay alive for long and to inconveniencing legions that get disabled lol
Like can't use the ctlab or make their legion mission insta fail lmao

Some bases just don't get locked due to fixer counts, nothing to do with defending well. In fact, i have raided many many 7's, 8's and some 9's due to a battlegroups saying they are going down. You simply cannot prevent base death if enough hard hitters target you. Many bases we kill have put up very nice fights, down to the last AP but to no avail.

I would go with you IF, there was actually something more a defending base could do. Just being around and not attacked giving more from AP seems cheesy to me. Personally I don't need the base production anyways, it's just part of an hour freebie each day. For the people who DO need it, i doubt they could defend their base even if they wanted to.

Hurting ct lab production is always a big suck. So, my team defends against an unstoppable armada and gets dismantled. So now i can't make polorons and cruxes?

This idea isn't terrible, but there should be more to base att/def before you reward or penalize a legion for what happens to their floating pinata.

What about a new base ability that allows your base to "take the fight to them" where for some Ability point value you can try and "race" the other base. Effectively if you defeat their base before they defeat yours you "defended" your base successfully and they are locked out from further attacking yours. ?

Now that would be totally amusing. We counter attack your base...wassup mow buddy!?!?

Or....your legion gets a link to their base for 48 hours? Similar to battle tab links. For 2 red we can lock you base if it is not already locked...nom nom nom nom

Revenge ahoy.

I kind of like the idea of people being able to park their ships on the base to add hull and shields...howver at the higher level legions this would be beyond stupid.

I actually think this is a cool idea, however I dont think it would work.
Most BGs try to lock easier bases with low fixer counts belonging to weaker legions. I think in most cases, the bases that the larger BGs lock would be against legions that would have absolutely no chance of disabling their base. I know most of the legions we lock would have no chance at disabling our base or any base in our BG. Although its a cool idea, I think in most cases the end result would be the same, their base dead, ours still alive. Most BGs already try to avoid locking the top bases for the most part, this would just make them avoid them even more.

so -1 to this.


As for the OP, again I think its a cool idea just not sure what good it would do.
This would again, serve the larger legions more than the smaller ones.. Some of these legions out there with lvl 6 and 7 bases can't even get their defender bonus up to 100% before getting disabled yet again. How would they ever be able to get the bonuses you describe in the OP?
And if they cant use the ctl or ust after being disabled, they would rarely get to use them at all.
Not productive for the game.

This idea might encourage BGs to hit bases belonging to the top legions just to keep them from getting the extra bonuses or to prevent them from using the ctl or ust which would be a good thing but it would be at the expense of the lower legions.

So, sadly, I must give the OP a -1 as well. Sorry wish I could +1 but just cant.
