For Heaven's sake its about time to implement the saving and loading of various ship builds!!!
It would be enough to have just a few saving slots or even make them a mission reward or GP functionality.

For beginners with small ships this is no big deal but even with mid sized ships its a pain to replace e.g. weapon modules with energy modules before ranking up.
Most folks with big ships are sick and tired of having to spend endless clicks on swapping out modules.

You need this on so many occasions:
* before ranking up
* before going offline (put defensive build)
* after logging in (put 'standard' build)
* before going on a NPC run (high weapon build)
* before doing a scan run
* before PvP run
etc.

whilst it would be nice, one of the few downsides to having a small ship is this, that and you can't fit every module on 24/7... get rid of the pain of this and you'll see even more tough ships as more and more people enjoy just loading and saving their ship builds e.g. for basing, npcing, pvping, energy builds etc... need i say more?

I agree with the OP on principle. However, the problem with this is that the memory this would take up might further lag an already laggy server.

This. Small ship builds need to have some sort of drawback.

-1. Even though I am an SSB, who this would probably most benefit, I still don't think it should be implemented. The whole module changing is the crux you have to bear for keeping your ship small. If you don't want to have to change your mods all the time.... make your ship bigger.

Still, I don't think suffering through a crappy game interface is a reasonable balancing mechanic. Benefits and weaknesses should come from the game itself.

Agreed doc. Perhaps a better way to make this issue less of a pita would be to have some extra buttons on each ship category..install all, uninstall all, remove relays, etc
