I view the research and credits as filler rewards, to make sure you don't always get something amazing, which is fine. Sure, it'd be cool if it was more, but it's not bad.

I've gotten 5 gp twice, and that was when I was 50-, seriously Daily rewards is good enough for me. It'd be a bonus if the lottery system was introduced.
But I'm perfectly fine with the way it is now.
And just wondering on a side note, how is daily rewards research calculated? (like the amount given)
