When you get a critical hit, have it display different than a normal hit so you know it's a critical.

I agree, its too hard to tell a critical hit from the others sometimes, if I notice at all

Not to be a stick in the mud, but really, what's the point? When you are attacking someone or an NPC, I would say 99.99% of players just keep clicking "attack" until the enemy is disabled or they are out of energy. I know I don't watch the individual hits, I pay attention to the overall stats. How much shield or hull is left is all I ever care about.

Yeah this is one of those things that are not really needed but some would like it. Maybe just make the hit burst bigger and two colors. Not something that would take much work but might give a feeling of pride to some. If it is something the program could do easily I say go for it, if not oh well not loss.

i think it would be helpful because i go out and calculate how many hits are needed to kill an NPC based on the average of my last 5 attacks, and if i knew one was a critical hit than it wouldnt be an outlier for my calculations and throw my whole projection off...

Nice to see if you can actually get a critical on an NPC? Personally, I think as long as it is easy to code, it would add a positive to the game even if it doesn't bring new content.
