they should have something like having other ships that can back you up but it should be only be ships that are lower class then your ships class eg:if your ship is a friget you can only have scout or small friget back up

so like travelling in a convoy where the big ship is escorted by little ships? that could be cool... it would definitly make having legion wars easier.

this might also be a good idear u can select members from your legion or your friends

yeah, the only thing is that IF tis does get implimented then it should say the ship is in a convoy, and who is guarding it. BUT only if ur scan is high enough to detect them through their cloak.

hmm, i dunno how they would calculate an upkeep for this tho... unless the cost was scaled to the players rank the same way NPCs are scaled...

the upkeep should be calculated by the convoys avg rank

but see, if a lvl 7 decides to guard a 150 then the upkeep will be next to nothing for the 150, and monstrously overpropotrioned for the lvl 7. the only thing i can think of would be (avg convoy strength * player rank * 10). that might even it out a bit in addition to making it 'fair'
