 Advanced Training Seminars for the crew.

My engineers are stupid.
One got shot during a raid yesterday. I jettisoned his body I was so disgusted. It was then I realized, these morons need to be better trained. Perhaps someday, I can promote them... To tactical... Or Helm... Better yet? Maybe I can get those lazy, limmy rodent-chasing, lab-coat wearing wimps, to pick up a wrench or atleast cook something!

I guess what I'm saying is... I can't melt down the bodies of my crew and use the spooge to laminate my hulls or expand my quarters or even build that new gym the guys have been asking for, but I should atleast be able to cross-train them. (Did I mention the moron that got shot?)

I think that's a good idea. You can tell some of your lousy scientists to be tactical officers, or vice versa. You could also train your crew to both make them better at their jobs, but to also resist raids more easily.

We need to introduce bridge officers (borrowing concept from star trek online) into GL that we could use such as 1 bridge officer max at frigate level then 2 officers at cruiser so go on.. Bridge officers could carry their modifications to boost crew's and ship abilities and can be treated as valuable commodity for trades, etc.

It would also be nice to hire officers from different races, such as Konqul tactical officers, Inergon engineers, or Aerlen helmsmen that give greater bonuses than usual. It would be cool.
