it is a pretty good measurement until reading becomes worthwhile. I still can't figure out how/if the rollover works. If there is one, I think it should subtract actions instead of resetting them to 3,5,5. Is there a daily rollover or does it log and subtract every action after 24 hours? I'm also not sure how failed raids/hacks are counted.

it rolls and does not reset. i did some actions yesterday and they are being subtracted.

I'm not sure this is working quite as intended.

For the last week I had no interactions with anyone. Then yesterday, out of the blue, I start to get attacked:

1day 4hrs ago: I get hacked
1day 2hrs ago: I get hacked twice more
1day 1hr ago: I get disabled by someone else
1day 1hr ago: I get hacked by the same person

at this point I get online and try to attack back the guy who disabled me, but fail to disable him. I also hack back one of the guys who got me.
then . . .

23hrs ago: he disables me again (keep in mind he's 20 levels above me)
22hrs ago: I try to disable him again but fail, attempt to hack him but hit firewall trap
7hrs ago: I finally disable Remric (my first successful response to any of the earlier attacks)
3hrs ago: Remric attacks me but fails due to traps
3hrs ago: someone else in his legion disables me
3hrs ago: I'm raided 2x by Remric, stealing artifacts
3hrs ago: I'm hacked 3x by various legion members
9mins ago: I'm disabled by another legion member

And after all this I still have in the actions that can be taken against me: Disables-2, Raids-2, and Hacks-5 !!!!!! I've been disabled 4x, hacked 7x, and raided 2x in the last 28 hrs, and all I've successfully responded with is 1 disable and 1 hack! And I'm scared to try and respond to any of the flood of attacks I'm facing, because I'll just increase the number of times their legion can continue to harrass me!

A few suggestions:
1. I don't think the limits on actions against you should increase when you respond tit-for-tat against attacks. And the limits should only increase if you are successful in disabling or hacking/raiding - not for unsuccessful attempts. If I return and disable someone who disabled me, now suddenly they and their legion get one more disable AND one more hack against me? For each response I make, they get to make 2 back at me?

2. Perhaps the default number of times someone can be disabled/hacked/raided "out of the blue" per day should be lower for "less aggressive" individuals than for those with a history of many attacks on other players.

3. The notify legion thing is really out-of-control. I wish you could prevent a legion notification if the person was the initial aggressor, but that's probably not practical. But I suggest that rather than allowing an entire legion to be notified (which invites a rain of quite possibly undeserved attacks) that individual communications to specific members be used, or else some high cost be placed on the notification (energy or galaxy points) so it isn't used so casually.

I was actually at level 84 without any disables (I had an "Undefeated" status which I worked really hard to preserve) and now suddenly without provocation I've got 7 disables in less than 2 days - all because a guy 20 levels above me attacked me and then put out a legion (DoO it seems) notification on me when I managed a small retribution. A little depressing, although I know it's just a game.

I definitely don't think you should be able to notify your legion about a ship that has never taken an action against you. Currently in the battle screen, you can target someone and send out a legion notification to "gang up" on them. This happened to me recently (only way I can think of that out of the blue I'm suddenly being attacked and hacked by various individuals when I've been invisible, taking no aggressive or defensive action for weeks).

Maybe there should be an artifact you have to use up to make legion notifications? Somehow it needs to be made harder, more expensive or more limited even for high-level players.

I like the artifact idea, though there may have to be separate alert timers due to the power of the thing, maybe.

1: I guess we need a better definition of "offensive action" for disable/ect. limits
2: I could see this, wouldnt be too much but a tad higher.
3:You disabled him, thats the offensive action that allowed him to send an alert though last time I checked DOO rules stat hes not allowed to get DOO involved in fights he started, so......yaa.........I dont want to get involved but that looks like an infraction to me.

How about having disables/raids/hacks limited by a point value? for every other player you disable you add 5 points, for every raid or hack add 1 point. Then, every time you are disabled you lose 5 points and every time someone hacks or raids you you also loose 1 point. at 0 points no one can take an action against you. I suggest that all players start with points equal to their rank, increasing by 1 as they rank up (meaning higher ranks can be faught more often). This also makes lower levels a layer of protection, as they can't even be disabled untill level 5 unless they disable/raid/hack.

This point value will never reset, so passive players can remain (mostly) undisturbed.

This can make a new leaderboard as well, for those who have the highest combat score.

Not sure where to location in the forums is for restart questions, but - is there a way to restart? Having read the forums, I feel like a complete Noob 'Ignorant Newbie' and would like to start over. Is there a way that does not include spending money? By the way - this site rocks! :D

You dont have to spend money at all to restart. Just click "Help" Up at the top of screen, then go to account reset. If you locked account reset(Like I did) then click report, then click contact, adn tell Dan to unlock it for you. It costs nothing.

PM me for that name (assuming if its DOO member) who was intial aggressor.. DOO policy states that DOO aggressors cannot alert the defenders because it is cowardly way to cheat out of any combat that he/she started and it will be too overwhelming. Defender should have equal right to defend against DOO attacker on one-to-one duel without involving DOO legion..

I fought lot of players in the battle tab offensively daily but I never ever alerted any of them when they hit me back. It is just personal duels or battles between me and those defenders and it doesn't involve DOO..

Correct. He is not supposed to alert the defender that he attacked even if he got retaliated.. He got into the mess then he must get out of mess himself not including DOO. Alerting to DOO once got hit back is most cowardly act..

An example of following that DOO rule:
I was bored one day so I used multiple cloaking buffs and time manipulators to hack a person 5 times in a row. He alerted his legion and in doing so, I had 5 people out to get me. I was hacked a total of 7 times and disabled once over the next 3 days. In return, I hacked a total of 8 times and disabled 3 times. Never once have I alerted anyone. Now, everything is done and I am victorious.
