How is it fair that someone can attack a planet, drive the population all the way down to one, fail the invasion, and then unleash an Engineered Virus, all while staying anonymous; meanwhile, the use of much lesser artifacts upon a ship are alertable? |

so i have asked myself many times before, its good someone brought this up. You are anonymous until you do something like sab or bio bomb the planet, which i dislike. |

Um... good point... It should be more like: 2 mins ago from: Thunderbolta Quartina is under attack from Thunderbolta! 2 mins ago from: Thunderbolta Thunderbolta unleashed a deadly virus upon Quartina, Preventing population growth for one day. 3 mins ago from: Samus123 Quartina is under attack from Samus123! |

+1 to who helped kill a planet. so many times someone steals a planet, and then the legion disownes them and trys to pass it off as a solo action, when in reality the entire legion assisted in capturing the planet. at least this way we can know for sure and not be lied to. |

Honestly, common sense says if I hit a ship with Quantum Flare, when they don't see it coming, they would likely never find out it was me if their scanners go down, yet the game still notifies the other player of who I am. And that's far less devastating than the Engineered Virus requiring me to buff the defense for at least twenty-four hours or risk losing the colony to the ghosts in the darkness. Quick question, has anybody ever tried to use a Cloning Pod on a planet suffering depopulation? |

Post subject: | Re: Anonymous Planetary Attacks |
yes, cloning pods restore the pop to 100%, and theyll have to rekill it even with an engineered virus. viruses just dont allow the population to regrow naturally. you can use 50 pods on it and just keep bringing the population back to 100% if u catch em in the act. |

if you mean after the planet was struck with the virus then yes I guess everyone use it and it works |

Thanks guys, I just didn't want to spend the artifact if it wasn't going to work, as I once accidentally wasted a Null Fuse when I'd been hit with a Positron Clouder. ![]() Anyway, I've got a feeling that I know who it was, at least what legion, but it wouldn't seem right if they suffer our full wrath and it turns out it wasn't them. |

just don't forget to use Longevity Serum before you use Cloning Pods ![]() |

ChuNya wrote: just don't forget to use Longevity Serum before you use Cloning Pods ![]() Thanks for that tip, I'll remember it for future defense, but I didn't use Longevity Serum this time because, as you said earlier, I'd really like to find out who to thank. |

I agree that an attackers name should be exposed when they unleash artifacts and attack the planet. However, I have a partial solution to this. Use traps like alarm sentries and drannik swarm traps. When someone attacks, their name is exposed by these hidden traps. I once had a planet I owned been alerted a few times in someone else's legion, luckily the planet was well defended. I got sick and tired of the attacks so I put alarm sentry traps to expose the attackers name. Once that happened, I disabled, raided and hacked each potential invader a few times. They never came back. I only got each name every 24 hours when the trap expired and loaded another trap again. That's the best solution I have to offer |

hence the name: alarm sentry by the way, you should be able to re-apply the trap the moment it has been tripped.... |

That's the best solution I have to offer Players reveal themselves when they hit planets with artifacts. I'm pretty sure the Engineered Virus does it too. |

Yea they do, also when they attack the planet probably around 5 times? They say X is attacking Y . Y being the planet and X being the person. |

i would like to see a list of contributors to whom I can send my ‘thanks’ once a planet has been successfully invaded. When I see my planet has been taken by a lvl 40 I get cranky. I cant punish a lvl 40?? Its unethical. A disable and re-capture of my planet is allowed but im pretty sure he didn’t have the nerve nor firepower to take it on by himself!! ANGRY FACE!! |
