I have several players roughly 250 levels below me that are attacking a planet of mine. They've set off alarm sentries and are thus inside my logs, but I am unable to attack them. Any ideas? Just to illustrate exactly what I'm seeing. Person is in my comm. I can open their ship info. There are no special buffs/debuffs. Other than the person is level 120 ish vs my 360'ish. When I click attack, I get the player is not in range image.

i really hope dan didnt try to make the noobs happy by making them untargetable by the > 40% of their rank. its either a glitch from dan trying to fix kaos' targeting exploit, or a new function that is really lame.

aye,... it definitely appears that dan's blocked targetting lowbies....
i wonder if they're at least targettable if they're guarding a planet you're wanting

This is a slight glitch caused by a recent targeting fix. Under some circumstances (such as tripping traps but not doing anything else to your ship), the game seems to think that this player is not a legitimate target. We've already identified the issue and will be applying a fix soon. It may come at the same time we release the base combat updates.

thank you dan. its good to know this is a glitch intended to be fixed, and not a game modification to make the targetting fairer.

Just so you know Dan, the glitch actually carries over to sending them a message as well. It's not just attacking. Even posting on their comm's gets blocked out by the "not in your range" screen.

I just got this message as well. a level 59 who can attack me but I cant attack him. Im alerted in a legion for 1 badge hit (who isnt) so hopefully its not a legion full of level -70's.

if you had been alerted, and the lower level players attacked you, you can attack them that is listed on your comm. unfortunitly your planet is not your ship.

this just happened to me, a rank 37 tried to take my crystal, had no defenses, so it's understandable why he would try to take it. sad for him that I was online. but I can't send him a comm. so am having to send his legion a comm.

Lowbies who attacked me to trip traps as part of group attack against me are completely immune to my counterattack now cuz I can't even target them to kill at all. I don't like that at all.. Heck, I can't even reply to any lowbie's comments on my com cuz when I click reply button, I get untargetable window popped up. It gets really annoying..

Dan, I know you said you fixed this, but I still cannot target the level 37 who attacked my crystal, I can't even post on his comms.

Players that triggered traps prior to the update may still not be targetable. The fix should address all future actions.
