there is a dark ring alerted, and it is shown in my npc alerts list, however when i target it it says im not eligible to see it. on the wiki it says ranks 60-450, and im rank 317, so if this was changed the wiki needs to be changed... if it hasnt been changed then this issue needs to be addressed.

i also have this problem, but when it was alerted i locked onto it im rank 263 so i should be able to see it still.

I think this is because the dark ring expired

did it? it wasnt there yesterday, otherwise i woulda locked on it... i dunno. its just kinda odd that even if it did expire it would still be in everyones npc alert list...

i was on when the alert for it came up so im 99% sure that it hasnt expired, could dan have a look at this please?

something similiar happened to us last night, a person had a Stalar alerted and she left the legion to take a planet that another member had captured for her because she failed the first time. when she left it was off the battle tab and on the news feed it said I wasn't eligible, when she came back we were able to kill it off of the news feed.

thats cause she left the legion... our person didnt leave the legion, and it was still in the alert list. whenever someone targeted it tho it said we were ineligible to see it.

Happened to us. Per Dan, it was a case where once expired, it stays on everyone's tab until the person who shared it logs back in. When they do, it officially falls off their tab, which takes it off everyone else's.

that may have been it... i just thought it was a bit odd that it wasnt there the day before, and then no one could access it the next day. it was only open long enough for 2 ppl to lock in, so about 5 minutes... i dont know what the timer is on dark rings, but im sure its more than 8 hours.

The timer is 2 days for most shared bosses, but that's 2 days from spawn time, not share time. So the person might have let it get to less than 8 hours till expire before sharing it (which isn't the smartest idea)

Yes - some people make sure that they're locked for the reward before sharing bosses.

Happened to me too. I was not sure if the Dark Ring expired. i Refreshed page. Came back 6 hours later and it was still there. One day it just dissapeared.

My theory was that they alerted it and then used the tactical algorithm to purge their NPC list. While this shouldn't remove an elite that has been alerted, I wonder if that is what actually happened.
