ok, so it seems that every time i switch to a new window or resize the window for that matter gl spazzes out flashing and random boxes popping up behind the black stars that usually float by. This started happening maybe 3 days ago, and although it happened every once and a while when i would get my research while on the research tab, now it happens all the time, as in every 5 minutes, if not sooner if i resize the window or switch windows. its very annoying having to refresh the page that often, which temporarily solves the problem.

Currently happens on IE8 and Chrome

Sorry, I haven't seen this and I use Chrome. Perhaps the problem is not with GL, but instead with your computer?

gl is the only thing it happens with. not with facebook, nor with flash games. i have yet to see it happen with an html site. and its not just my laptop. its my desktop aswell.

has your browser uploaded any updates recently? maybe a recent update is causing some instability with GL.

if it hasn't then you might want to try and clear your cache to see if that works.

if that doesn't work then i can't think what else it might be.

Yes, you may want to try clearing your cache/browser temp, in case it didn't properly finish downloading one of the critical files.
