Post subject:  Ancient Civilization Ruins

Both my Mission Exotic and Mission Dyson got ACR on them when I made them. I was fiddling around with them today and noticed that both of them had an interesting bit of text on them.

Advanced Civilization Ruins : Artifact +20%
(4 weeks, 1 day left)

I was curious why a permanent planetary effect would suddenly have a timer... And yes, I checked other planets with Rings or Moons and none of them had a time period attached to the effect.

Do they both have Scruuge Logistics Plans active on them? I think that's what's adding the timer, not something specific to ACR. If you used them on a planet with moons or rings the timer will show up as well.

I'd honestly put the Scruuge Logistics on my Rift planets, not on a lowly exotic or dyson.

Just to clarify, I see it on two planets, one with LM and one with SM, so it's not an ACR specific thing. It may be related to invincibility or something else entirely, but either way it's just an errant timer and I'm willing to bet your perm effects will not disappear when it expires.

it's proberly related to the timer bug you have on permanent ship systems
where, if you use a tempeary effect on Defence, etc all permanent system effects also get a timer

but cant see it on any of the planets where I have ruins, so hard to guess what tempary effect(s) might cause it

(Tryed using Trellith Influence : Artifact +30% (2 days, 23 hours left), on one of my planets with ruins
but that one doesnt seme to tricker this for me)

The timers would have to line up though, a 2 days 23 hours timer wouldn't cause a 4 week timer to appear.

As a fwiw i have this effect on a Rift w/small moon, and it has zero other temporary effects.

I have one as well on my mission dyson now. It says 4 weeks left on my ACR. My other invincible planets don't have timers, haven't looked through all my planets yet.

yes that how it work with shipsystems and temp effects kirkeastment
is if it was only that I would also expect a 2 days 23 hours timer


but semes to be a combination of,
Advanced Civilization Ruins : Artifact +20% (4 weeks left)
Trellith Influence : Artifact +30% (2 days, 19 hours left)
and the planet it self beeing Invincible

on all the planets I have seen so far,
but if you can rule out Trellith Influence
it must be some sort of conflict betwen Advanced Civilization Ruins and Invincible

I have ACR and Trellith on my Mission Dyson right now. No timer for me other than the Trellith influence.

Well, I discovered a non-invincible planet with a timer on the RT affect, and have heard that other people's invincibles are not all showing the timer, so it's not that.

And yes, these are all screenshots from the same time, so the timer is not aligned on all planets.

strange, I checked atleast 20+ planets, and cant find any timers on any of my RT effects

also only temp efect, I can think of that have a 4 weeks+ timer is the Alarri Compound Turret Ability
that one adds +50% planet defence for 1 month

but with the number of players reporting this, I think we can rule that one out
any idear about what temp effects you might have used on those planets ICBLF ?

This post prompted me to run through my list of planets and I found one with a similar issue:

Planetary Rings : Production +20%
(3 weeks, 5 days left)

I've been wondering if there IS some type of timer on rings or ACRs and we're just finding it. I've only been playing 2 years and 5 months, so most of the planets I've added effects to are relatively young in terms of the GL life span. But the planet in question was stolen 1 year, 4 months ago and already had the rings on it so there's no telling how long the effect was on the planet.

One note: This planet does NOT have Trellith Influence applied and it is NOT invincible.

Just for clarity, I meant I don't even see a medal "counter" where you see someone making progress on a 5 year medal on ships that already got their 4 year medal. Maybe that doesn't appear until the games 5th anniversary or maybe GL implodes in 3 weeks and 5 days. Or just maybe the universe enters a contraction phase when various planet effects randomly start disappearing....and then planets either shrink or disappear (maybe task 1 on the legion mission Carthyne Symposium was a sign of things down the road)! Finally all our big ships start experiencing gravitational sheer and crumple up until only the SSBs remain to beat each other's brains out until they also are collapsed into this black hole! :roll:
