I know everyone is posting these. There is no problem with just asking a simple question.

Glad to see the same players hating on me just yesterday start to agree.

Never said I didnt agree with you. I knew there was lag, the way you stated your post just seemed like you were going a little too far. Sorry about the miss understanding.

"too far" for me is paying money to sit and watch a blue bar. I'll be doing that for free from now; Dan never replied to my PM (he did read it), so I assume he doesn't care about ~$75 per month he was making from me.

Have any of you considered that it may actually be your providers that are causing the issue?

I'm on BT Infinity (average speed of 49Mbps) and I get no lag whatsoever, I haven't even seen the blue-bar for about 3-4 months now~

All of my friends that play are also on BT Infinity, and none of them encounter this elusive crippling lag.

Just a pause for thought, as if it was Dan's end, would it not affect all players in someway?

It's not the providers.

Have you considered that perhaps the reason why its not affecting all players, is because nobody, and i repeat nobody has the same activity levels...

A person who perhaps spend a good few hours a day playing this game, and actively playing a role in their legion by PvP'ing, NPC'ing or hitting a base for an hour(or if your actually active, a good 6 hours a day at least) is going to notice more often than 95% of the playerbase who just login and clear off once they nrg dump into a mission.

Also, i know its not the provider, because everyone in my legion is experiencing the same issue, and we have players from England, USA, Canada, Australia, Asia, Eastern Europe.... So we pretty much have global coverage on this issue, and everyone is experiencing severe lag.

Lastly, please see my post here, where i explain why this lag, is more than likely either a server side issue or its an intentional design based lag by Dan, to slow down everyone's progress... viewtopic.php?p=386573#p386573

And yet when I do an npc run for 30+ minutes, I see nothing, no sign of lag whatsoever.

The three instances of seeing the blue-bar in the past 4 months have all been when I clicked a little to fast and the server had a slight hiccup with the requests. those instances were about 2 seconds worth of blue-bar each.

Have you considered that if you are infact right and that it's your activity levels that not only allow you to notice this, but that it affects your gameplay, then perhaps you should slow down a little? Demanding Dan to fix this would involve server upgrades which cost money(if it is infact his end), whereas you not clicking so fast costs you what? a few seconds longer to kill that npc, a tiny bit longer to steal that planet.

All the instances of lag I've seen complained about are 2-3 second PER 100+npcs, that's like complaining that the audiotrack of a video is 0.01 second out of sync of the visuals. The one instance of 30+seconds of lag reported, I simply don't believe in the slightest that it was server-side, that was a player's connection momentarily bottoming out on him, and he blamed Dan as a go-to response.

KxG Ryoko, you're ONE person. Your experiences may differ, yes, but the majority of players are having issues, which places the problem somewhere that all of those players having in common, AKA Dan's server.

Where is this majority of players? Because all I see are the same few names complaining over and over and over again about this "Lag", the odd comment of "a few of my legionmates have said the same thing" and one instance of "My entire legion has this issue".

I've seen a grand total of about 10 people complain(Fairly I shall up that number to about 500 to reflect the hearsay of "my legion has this problem"), OUT OF 50,000 People.

Yet another instance of a small minority of players kicking up a massive storm and pretending to be the majority.

I'm sorry, but unless you can get 25k players to post that they have this apparent lag issue, then you aren't gonna sell the "Majority" argument anytime soon Dex.

My entire Empire is having this issue, that's a total of 300 players, satisfied?

I think he wanted 25,000 not 300. But many people Don't use the forums. So theres Probably the same rate of players not on the forums having the issue and not having the issue so what ever percentage is having it on the forums is probably game wide.

I'm still feeling the lag and it is getting worse. Its like i'm killing NPC's while downloading a torrent at my download cap when i'm not. I have PM'd Dan to see if he would even reply to the post made a week or two ago but nope. I had never lagged this consistently on GL ever, once a day sure but this is ridiculous. I have access to a private port securing my download and upload bandwidth at all the bottlenecks, so it is not my ISP and not on my end. It's killing NPCing!!! Please fix it dan.

50,000... You are hopeful. The most recent stats I have seen have GL down to ~12K active users

I used the last statistic I personally remembered. Also if it really is that low then server loads would be lower which rules out it simply being Dan's fault, other factors would have to be present no matter how many claim against it

I'll be the first one to admit that I'm not nearly as active as I used to be or would like to be, but when I'm on for an extended time, I have yet to see any significant lag. Yesterday, I soloed a base (for all intents and purposes) then followed that up with about 2.5 hours of NPCs. Not one issue.
