When you click the "Scan for New Planets" button, it needs to show that you have 751 in your database. Legion alerts will show up in your total planets list, and can push your number past 751 (the number to get the medal) but by clicking the button it will show you how many are truly in your scans. |

yeah, you need 751. this is indicated in the table at the bottom of the max planets per scan page: http://galaxylegion.com/wiki/index.php/ ... s_Per_Scan |

Made that blunder myself. Stopped at 750. switched away from explorer and sold scanners before I realized. |

He didnt say ALERTED planet, he said CRIT HACK, which adds someones planet to your own scanned list like a normal scan would. I would imagine it does count ELERIAN. |

Alerted planets do not count as a "scanned" planet as they don't count towards the total number of discovered planets. And yes, I know the difference between hacked, scanned, conquered, and alerted planets. Planets acquired through the first three methods are added to your number of discovered planets. The description for the medal says "scan". So why would you think that a hacked planet would get them the medal? Wouldn't conquering another planet do the same thing then? Doesn't mean they can't (or shouldn't) try just to see though. |

Planets you hack (or counter hack) from someone are considered "scanned" planets by the games mechanics. They count against you when determining your chance to scan when you hit the button. As far as this medal goes, it simply checks the value in that location and if it is >750, you get the medal. |
