For some reason Photobucket is being stupid and I can't upload the screenshot, so bear with me...

This afternoon one of TU's members (Aces76) logged on to find a notice that a planet was conquered by Maverick05 from EotS. Forty minutes or so after the notice, he alerted for guards and fluxed the planet because according to the planet's page, he still owned it. Multiple members of TU guarded the planet, still showing as owned by Aces76. A few minutes later, ownership was transferred to Maverick without any of us being disabled or attacked in any way. And we continued to show as guarding AFTER Maverick had control. Then a few more minutes go by and suddenly we're all gone from guard duty. We're in no way accusing Mav of any wrongdoing whatsoever. Judging by the comms he sent Aces, he had his own WTF reaction to what was initially going on. Reports have been sent to Dan, Aces will get his flux back because apparently the invasion DID occur pre-fluxing.

Just wanted everyone to be aware that some funny stuff is going on with planets. And as soon as Photobucket has its dose of caffeine, I'll post the screenshot of TU guarding an EotS planet.

Yeah, screwy is the word of the day, week, month, and all of time it seems.

Basically, Maverick Invaded the planet, got the green message for conquering, and clicked guard and the planet had transferred back to Aces76, despite him not being online at the time, and there was no message on Maverick's ships log to say the planet had been conquered back from him.

Sent an in-game report, and sure enough Dan checked the logs, the planet had been conquered by Maverick(Aces76 confirmed as such via ships comm to Maverick), so he turned the planet over to Maverick. :)

I remember a similar situation occurring with a Planet exchanging hands whilst in Paladins. Basically the guy abandoned it, and when the other went to colonize, it still showed up as owned by the player who said he abandoned the planet. Lost 5 GP and had to spend another 5 to re-abandon the next day.

It sure was funny, seeing TU as guards on the planet though.

Thanks Tree. Didn't really feel like starting an account with another image host. That does look cute with members of both legions guarding it.

Like I said in the original post, nothing funky was being done by either party or legion. This was just a public service announcement so everyone would know to watch for this sort of thing and know that Dan is already aware that something is going on.

I would strongly recommend not telling me what to do. It CAN and probably WILL result in serious damage to your ship, and loss of Artifact Points.

Giving someone advice isn't telling them what to do.

And someone was complaiing about getting zero'd for stealing planet from TU. This is what i call Good sportsman ship.

Oh, Mav did that the next day when I multihacked him off the thievery alert. Got alerted myself too. :D

Dex your ship is kinda a tin can, don't get ahead of yourself.

And to the OP, could this be another result of the infamous multi-ship button mash technique ?
