Post subject:  Problem Seeing Planet - RESOLVED

Several people in Delta have said that they cannot see a certain planet. They have it scanned, but for some reason it is 'outside their scan range' or something like that. It doesn't affect all of us as I can still see the planet, so it wasn't fluxed as well.

Was it shared?

It happens... a nice random planet shows up on multiple peoples' scan, often across legions but it is always 'out of scan range'.

That would be my guess but I'm out of legion so I'm not sure.

I have encountered this as well.

We never found the source of the ghost planet so I am very curious.

That's the most likely explanation. If it's in your database from a share and the share expires, the planet tends to stay in your database (unviewable) until the person who shared it logs on again. Much the same as expired NPCs. I suspect if those people would F3 that planet name in their news feed they will find it was shared over 12 hours ago.
