It says the the Inergon give + 10% energy but also reduces energy comsumtion from them relays. Each relay is 120 energy take off. and i've when from 6,546 to 6016. just installing the relays. This means its auctally costing 530 energy when it should be less than 480! eerrr dan sort it out? Also wouldn't the Inergon race reduce the energy required by some weapons like Ion Pulse Ballistae? Because they aren't effected at all! So can you sort this issue out dan. its really annoying when it says it makes you gain energy and lessen the amount of what relays uses but they auctally uses more! plus Exotic Pulser hasn't got reduce enemy consumtion 2... I've never heard of where it says being Inergon reduces energy consumption from ship modules. |

This is how it is supposed to work. Each relay decreases your base max energy by 120. You cease to get an Inergon bonus for this 120, which costs you an additional 12 points per relay. The total reduction should be 4x132=528 +/- rounding adjustments. In your particular case, your base energy without the Inergon bonus would be 5951. Adding 4 relays reduces your max energy to 5471. The Inergon bonus raises this to 6018. In fact your Inergon bonus is also increasing the penalty of using the weapons you wrote about (or more correctly, the energy penalty is being multiplied by the Inergon bonus), each Ion Pulse Ballistae is reducing you max energy by 44, and each exotic pulser is reducing your max energy by 11. |

It's not a penalty, it's a consistency. All energy is multiplied by the racial bonus, meaning energy increases as well as decreases are affected. It's a% modifier, not a set #, so even though you may be losing more energy, it is consistent with the amount lost by players of another race. |

Look at it this way... Order of operations. The definition of the Inergon bonus is that it increases Max energy by 10%. ( Cores + Engineers - Relays - Pulsers - Ballistae ) * Inergon So anything you do inside will be amplified by 10% outside. |

Well you can argue that why do Inergon have energy bonuses at all when others don't? It's because of the race. Inergon has a +10% BONUS to energy. Therefore, it increases max energy, but also increases energy removed from the relays. |
