Medal not counting correctly: The "Seeing Red Medal" I noticed today was only at 20, and I had made a point of trying to do NPCing recently with no buffs on. However I expected his stat would have been higher as I had disabled many different crimson ships. Here the the Medal description: Seeing Red Disable 500 enemy ships from the 'Crimson Blades' without the use of any temporary beneficial effects on your ship. Reward 20 / 500 As you can see the medal is very specifically noting that it is only when an effect is both Temporary AND Beneficial that I will not get the points for the Crimson blades disabled. However, I am concerned because either temp I just fought against some dark command nexuses and Shadin hypergrids and I have effects on my ship which are Temporary, however they are NOT beneficial Sha'din Overload : Attack -25% Dark Nullify : Attack -25% I DO still have the Dark Root Node Ability active: Dark Rootnode Gate : Tariff -50% Which could be termed beneficial, but not for PvPing in any way shape or form. I got rid of the debuffs and I still get no points towards the medal for crimson kills, so: ShouldDark Root-Node really count against me? It effectively means I cannot NPC for two hours a day, the first hour of which is usually just after I've woken and most want to spend energy NPCing. Once Root-node wears off I will test the de-buffs from the NPCs and add results here in case they are also stopping the medal points. |

Yes, Dark RootNode would count. The effect does not have to be related to combat. |

As has been said in several medal threads by several people... Ya don't gotta. Think about it this way... These achievements are supposed to have some difficulty in completing them. How hard is it for high ranks to kill 500 Crimson NPCs when every 4th one that spawns is a Crimson? Doing it without ANY temporary beneficial effects IS the challenge since most of us have SOMETHING running pretty much all day long. |

Alright, wasn't sure, I have been NPCing with no buffs most of the time since the medal came out, but I dind;t really think of dark root node as a buff to worry about. Thanks for Clearing that up Dan, just wasn't sure if it was intentional. ~Q |
