How is it possible that Both myself and another person have been attacking this player that has attacked us and yet he has a halcyon trap on?

2 hours 46 mins + 1 hour 14 mins = 4 Hours. Only Disables, Raids, Hacks, Invasions and Offensive Artifacts disallow the use of Halcyons and Calming Amps. Simple Attack clicks don't lock you out of their use.

That said, if you are able to attack his ship WITH the Truce effect, then there is a problem. UNLESS you are doing it from a planet screen while he is guarding.

Strangely when I am using the halcyon trap and attack someone it becomes null. Either that or I am just better at it, get it done right the first time.

Isn't an attack on another player an offensive action whether you disable, hack, raid them or not.

(When applied, an attacking ship has a chance to cause you to become pacified for 2 hours, being unable to attack or be attacked by others. This trap will be removed if you perform any offensive actions against other players.)

He didn't do any disqualifying acts and set the calming amp AFTER setting off your krio trap. There's still a one minute window there because of the way incidents are reported in your news feed.

Now from my ONE experience with the updated Halcyon (had it set to trigger when the update was made) the description SHOULD be changed because when it got triggered, I couldn't do ANYTHING. I couldn't attack, I couldn't hack, I couldn't lob artis. Apparently AT THAT TIME offensive actions actually COULDN'T clear the effect. Don't know about now because I never stay out of PvP long enough to set one...

We tend to be a versatile crew so npc raids, pvp, base raids, etc. all get done here so I do have times when I can set them. Not very well lately with the "War" but anyways.

Calming amps and halcyon traps are now removable because you have them on doesn't mean you can't attack or anything just nullifies it now I can't say i have attacked while pacified, that I am not sure of but if he attacked me then it would have nullified any traps and he should not be able to set a calming amplifier. Unless what we are both kinda getting at is there is a bug/glitch/ or a way of cheating it.

I did not mention this is the third incident with this player and him attacking another one of our players and still be pacified. Granted he did not hack/raid/disable. still an attack should be an offensive action. This is 2 days running of this situation.
