Has anyone else had this problem? I posted on someone's comm recently just to say "blue badge", I had 8 energy to start with and wound up on -2 because it double posted. Surely you shouldn't be able to go below zero energy on a comm post, should you? I appreciate that it could go negative on missions with "risk of energy drain" or whatever, but normal actions tend to be blocked if you don't have the energy. If this is only me, I'll contact Dan about it. |

it also should only have brought you down to 0, not -2 10 - (5 x 2) = 0 |

That's a typo, I actually started with 8. I'll edit the OP now. OK, well, not exactly a typo a such, more the fact that I forgot to engage my brain before I started typing. |

then this was just a game-lag bug... similar to all the other game-lag issues out there... |

I went negative on a normal mission once. Figured it was a glitch. I had something like 10 energy, and I opened a 2-energy-cost mission to burn through it 5 times. It ended up running 6 times and I ended up with -2 energy. |

The game's database probably can't catch up with it's server. The developers should check for that sort of thing, but oh well, you still have to earn the energy back, so I guess it's no big deal at the end of the day |

Knowing that multiple users were going to be sending multiple database updates, you would think it would have been addressed at design time. |

But its probably faster performance for the players to just let records update unchecked. There will be a few glitches, but overall, the local hardware will be much faster than the network-based requests, so it shouldn't happen too often. |
