I thought the Halcyon Trap was supposed to protect you from getting raided, but I was just able to raid somebody with it active on themselves. Was this a glitch or do is the Halcyon not supposed to protect against raids?

More importantly, how did they get DISABLED with a halcyon truce? Or did he have a Calming Amp truce?

When I found the guy he was disabled with 1:59 left on the Halcyon timer, so I assume the disabling shot was the one that activated it.

He could also have disabled himself against an NPC or base.

True, but that really the issue here is it? ;)

The trap doesn't protect you from raids, only from being attacked or attacking other people.

The only part that even mentions raids appears when you try to use a halc trap or calming amp on yourself, and it tells you, you can't use this because you've disabled, hacked or raided someone in the past 24 hours. I've not seen any mention of it protecting you from being raided or hacked.

Ok. I was just under the impression that Halcyon protects you from raids and being attacked, but not hacks. Mostly because I haven't seen that issue brought up by anyone yet.

actually i remember that any enemy action is called attack so actually it should prevent from hacking/raiding also... if halc. is made now in opposite direction than it should work... cuz if you were halced than you wasn't able to hack/raid...

They're not attacking per se, but they are offensive actions. You can't hack or raid while you have the Halcyon, because it will cause you to lose it, but it doesn't prevent you from being hacked or raided. It sort of protects you from raiding in the sense that you can't be disabled when it goes off, but that means nothing if the attack that sets it off is also the one that disables you.

You can get them if they are on a planet you have targeted.

But I got him off my BT. And the Halcyon wouldn't go off if he was being targeted from a planet.

How do you know he wasn't on a planet? I have been targeted form the BT when guarding a planet. Not the same attackers but still the same principle.

if he's on a planet and truced, the only way to nullify the truce to attack him is to target him through the planet...

if he's guarding a planet while truced but you target through the battle tab or a link, you can't attack

in any case, going back to the original poster's issue..... halc only stops attacks, not raids or hacks

What I was getting at is that he could have been disabled off of a planet, but the Halcyon trap wouldn't have gone off then.
