 why am i getting my butt kicked

my att is 207 my def 54 his att 59+ def 5+ evry time i attack him he hits me for double damage to me i just like to know why

The damage you take is based on how many decks you have as well, you must have a lot more decks than he does. To prevent this, you need to make sure to keep increasing your defense as you increase your decks. Also, those number you posted for him aren't exact (hence the "+") as they don't include crew, he could have a lot of crew increasing his attack and defense.

PVP damage cap formula = your current deck size divided by 2


The maximum damage dealt to a ship in a single shot is (0.5 x # of ship decks), OR (0.5 x (player rank + 19)), whichever is greater.

As an all deck build, this is one of my greatest banes. My damage cap is high, so I take alot of damage. Light battleship at 67 without a sillixx boost.
