Some people in the legion were complaining about getting less than their fair share of the legion base bonus as the majority of the legion did not donate any resources to the base for upgrades. Those that did mainly hovered between 0.5% to 1%, while the people who donated had 10% or higher.

Then a week ago, the base finished upgrade. And as per prior agreement, the resource division was shifted from equal to by percentage. With that, several members saw the opportunity to dump large amounts of Exotic Matters into the pool and therefore taking most of the resources. Distribution now starts at 25% for three members, and 25% to split for everyone else.

The discussion is that while the top three donators who rightfully deserve the extra bonus resources to help them (to retroactively help make up for the unfair division to them as they were getting less than 3k bonus resource per day after donating 100k's resource), the members who threw in 50 resources are whining about not getting their share.

The real question is, shouldn't there be an mechanism to let the leaders choose how to divide resources separate from "Equally" and "by percentage"? Wouldn't it be better to make division manual?

yes there is a way you can distribute evenly its a choice.


in our legion everyone gets equal share. no matter how much you contributed to the base. We consider the base a legion property and everyone in the legion should benefit from it.

some of our members only contributed 1% or even less but each and everyone gets an equal share of the pie. If you look at it on the long term having stronger members is better than having 3 strong members.

If you feel you want to award them for dumping a lot, go equal distribution 6 days a week and once a week on % distribution. This gives them a boost once in a while not handicapping the whole legion.

this goes back to the age old complaint that the contribution types should be weighted in value... 1 CTP should count more than 1 energy, which should count more than 1 exotic matter...
there have been a number of suggestions with various equations and even the suggestion that the leader should be able to define the weights themselves...
there have also been suggestions that credits contributed (that have disappeared already to upkeep) should count, and that the special GP items to upgrade the base should count...

At one time I've even suggested that there should be some sort of lock (manual or automatic, doesn't matter) that would prevent people from dumping in exotic matter immediately... and that there should also be some sort of limit on the amount of exotic matter they could dump in per hour or day to prevent this sort of instant and (debatably) unfair boost of %


after complaining for at least a good month or more, people have stopped suggestions because they figured Dan was going to leave it like it was...

Go ahead and do the % if you think you want to lose the rest. Team work , Legion is a team. Its your choice. Just because they did 25% doesn't mean they worked for it. I mean you can buy most the items for bases now...
