I am currently doing a job which makes it hard for me to get on daily as I used to as a matter of fact I will be shipping back over sea,s soon and my connection in the country I will be in will be spotty at best .

Razor back and I suggested a mode to where we could dock our ships at our legions station cutting the upkeep cost in half or more for those of us who need to be able to do so ,

I recently returned for a 5 week vacation sort of from the war zone i was in to find my ship totally disabled all modules offline and stuffed in cargo so i cant even get my minerals drawn to even start repairs unless i scrap alot of stuff , unfortunatley most of my stuff is mission or npc drops stuff I dont want to scrap so very little room gets opened up and when it does i do not draw enuff minerals to even come close to bringing my ship back online unless i can loggin in every day for the next week and draw then i might be able to get all modules back up but would still be lacking all the stuff i scrapped ,

This situation makes this game unplayable for me as I am due to ship back to afghanistan in one week where i will only be able to get on maybe 1 to 2 times a week and alot of times the fire walls where I will be block me from playing the game as they dont allow the re direct away from facebook to the gl server .

Dan could you please enable some sort of long term absence mode that doesnt stop you from being disabled or hacked but does slow down the upkeep cost which turns off as soon as you do anything like pvp or mission or maybe a setting so minerals draw once a day and are cashed in automatically or sumthing ??? throw me a bone here this is the only game I play on fb

I like this idea. Perhaps docked ships could also provide a legion with a bonus of some kind, ie. perhaps they could increase the attack, defence, shields, and hull of the base.

Of course, this could be open to abuse by multi-accounters or people that stop playing. But it would reward legion members for their loyalty and stop them being penalised for events that may be outside of their control.

This is a good idea. I think it should be considered.

Maybe Legion leaders would have to give permission for a ship to dock, and for how long, so that the system would have less chance of being abused. Also Leaders could be able to undock someone if they felt necessary. Maybe only a certain number of ships could be docked at anyone time...

A game like GL I used to play had a mode like this called vacation mode. If activated you had to wait 3 days to disable, but you couldn't build, attack or be attacked.. I say we have this sort of thing, but to prevent abuse the disable time should be 1 week.

perhaps the "vacation mode" would also stop your resource gain as well

ship docks at base, all the players costs are withdrawn from the base funds. account cant be accessed until the preselected vacation time is over. (so it cant be used to hide)

Vacation mode -

No Upkeep Costs
No Minerals, Artifacts, or Research earned.
Energy set to 0 and no energy gain (including from leveling)
No Artifact use.
Vacation Mode cannot be cancelled for 3 days.
Upon cancellation, energy is fully restored.

I think that about covers it? A total freeze of the character. Sure you can log in and look around and use your legion's comm, but nothing that requires energy and no artifacts.

i think i would make it so you can't share planets or artifacts or minerals too, or any other kind of alerts
