How could I go to sleep and wake up this morning and all of my weapons and other equipment was not only uninstalled but the amount was well above my max cargo space. The result was like I was a level one ship and got hit over and over again. How can this happen by itself?

Maybe you didn't have enough credits to pay for your upkeep?
