This glitch has been around for a while and happens with NPCs as well and needs to be fixed

i agree... this has happened to two bases recently,..... and it upsets me because each time it's a base i've barely missed getting a hit on

To clarify for those that don't get the subtlety here... 2 Death Notice alerts, 2 Badge rewards. Mento DID receive 8 badges for this kill, I received 6 (6-10, x2) and several others mentioned in comm that they got double badges.

Before anyone goes all "They're cheating! Ban them!" let me say that after the first incident, IT WAS REPORTED TO DAN THROUGH IN GAME SUPPORT. We don't know the circumstances that causes it, and it seems not everyone is getting double. So there's really no way of exploiting this.

I would guess what causes it is 2 people click attack at the same time and both disable it. Just a guess though.

strange... i was thinking me coming online just as it was dying was the common cause in both incidents

The first time it happened we had 6 confirmed doubles and several non-doubles. Following your guess, if 2 people simul-disabled it, wouldn't EVERYONE get doubles?

Happened to 2 of my legionmates and I on a Reynard, Lazuli Titan a couple of days ago, we reported it to Dan straight away.

I've seen examples of this happening with other things, like building structures on planets. A former legionmate of mine once showed me a world he build up where everything was doubled, including artifacts there should only have been one of. I told him to fix it and make it legal, but it's probably the same glitchy mechanic at work.

the difference from cheating and having it happen accidentally are two different things.

If your trying to make this happen every time and it is apparent it is cheating, or using an exploit for that matter.

the game has bug as any game does that is constantly changed and updated.

But this has been a issue that has been going on for a long time i have not seen any double rewards for a long time though. thought that it had been fixed, but hey that's life enjoy your free gift. Just let Dan know that's all you can do.

Turns out, we got double rewards from a Fab Plant today as well. 2 people got a simultaneous disable and there were 2 post-mortems and double reward drops. Its weird that I haven't encountered this until just the last few days.
