Legion Base Incomming Attack Timer - False Timer

I had a report for an incomming attack with an ETA of 5.5 hours overall.

After 2.5 hours my base was hit and disabled.

So where did the extra 3 hours go? I certainly didn't get caught in a time warp IRL.

Not that it matters much, I make billions of credits a week - so a repair once in a while is certainly one way to spend the money that just sits and rots most of the time. However - if a base warning for attack says "will arrive in 4.5 hours" (I saw it 1 hour after initiation)... then I expect to have 4.5 hours left to me to play strategically... not 35 minutes.

Anyways - considering how solidly this game is programmed - if a couple glitches here and there is all I have to worry about, I've got nothin' to complain about. I can make that sum back, personally, in under 2 days - even at my level. Thank you for a great game.

If you got an alert for your base then its been locked on and the time is the time they have to kill it.

wolfprince is correct...

tankenka,... you mis-interpreted what the timer means...

The MOMENT a legion locks onto you, the timer begins at 8 hours and counts down.
During that ENTIRE 8 hours, the attacking legion can continually hit on your base.
In many cases, your base will be swiss cheese in a matter of seconds/minutes (depending on your base's level and the modules installed)

NOTHING says the attack "will arrive in xx:xx"

(unless MAYBE the attacking legion sent you an officer comm msg, which would have appeared in yellow..... and lied about when they were going to attack so you'd be unprepared)

Ah ~ thank you. That clarifies things nicely. Much appreciated.

(Yes, I know this reply is -really- late, I'm not overly concerned about getting munched or spending a few extra credits here and there. I just like to know where I'm making mistakes in the long run).
