So I just got a Sketh, Stryll Predator, Rank 90 Elite Flagship, Extremely Rare for a random encounter. I am/was very psyched about this. I started to attack it, used artifacts, realized I couldn't handle it on my own so I put out a call for help for my legion.

A call was issued to everyone in my legion from ranks 80 to 120. Now here is the issue, I just looked on my legion list (46 so not THAT small) and there is NO one in that span. Basically, I sent out a call to no one since there is no one in that span, even if I get members in that span, I can't call for another 24 hours.

So my issues is that I'm not battling an enemy that I can't beat (I've maxed out weapons/etc) and I will be surprised if even with leveling up I would be able to beat it alone. I don't think I can and there is nothing I can do about it. I've used the anti-NPC artifacts that will help as well as the ship buffs I have. I've uninstalled everything but relays, weapons, defenses and hulls to get more space for weapons. I've turned in all my artifact points in hope of energy cubes, etc. I think 24 hours will go by and I will spend lots of energy failing to beat it. (I can ignore it but I live in hope that there is someway this battle can be won).

Now that my issues are out there, I will turn this into a suggestions/idea post:

1) Legion Notify should say what the span of ranks it will be notifying. Even a hover-over would be better than nothing.

2) Legion Notify should fail if there is no one in that span of ranks. Tell me there is no one and let me find some to help me out, then put out the call.

3) Enemies expiring: I think this is great in theory and most of the time, love it. However, now that I don't want it to expire, I don't like it. How about a check box for "hold count down"? Basically, if we want to keep it on there, we check the box, hit submit or something like that and it will stay as one of our NPC battles until we uncheck it. At which time, the countdown will resume where it left off. I bet there are a lot of times people wish they had just that much more time to battle an enemy. They needed 5 more minutes to get enough energy to defeat it. If you want the Sci-fi answer, we are locked onto the target and they are unable to get away from us.

4) Legion Notify for NPCs should be allowed for more than once in 24 hours.

5) Finally a battle url or code. This would be something I could give someone not in my Legion or not in that span to come and help. I can see myself posting a note here about this, saying that I need help and that the first two people who say they want to help, I will send them the url/code. They can help me, we all get stuff for working together, everyone is happy. Maybe I make some new legion members, maybe I don't. This is also useful for those people who don't like adding facebook friends. They have the ability to get help without the security concerns.

1) YES, and for every type of legion notify
2) ^
3) Possibly, but this could allow people to solo bosses, which is not what bosses were designed for
4) It would still have to be a long wait. 2 hours at the absolute least.
5)I like it, but is it possible?

I also have an idea for this
Make it so that if under 5(subject to debate/change) of your legion is not in range it will pick the closest players to the NPC's rank to send a notice too even if the NPC is not in their range.

You got a good point, but Bosses arnt supposed to be soloed so you could possibly be SOL. Hopefully not but idk.

Those are both fair points.

3) If I held onto my energy cubes, had gotten lucky and found him right at a level up, etc, I think it could be soloed, maybe not. I see what you're saying. Maybe some quasi-math formula of have you damaged it enough to extend the time limit by some %. IE, you've done 70% damage, it's engines are working minimally, you've gained an extra 8 hours to take it out before it completes repairs in that section and escapes. And it would only happen once per boss.

4) I have no problem with a 2 hour wait. However, 1 call in 24 hours ruins its usefulness for a boss that is only there for 24 hours to begin with.

Update: Either I read the span numbers (between 80 and 120) or it isn't going out right. I have someone level 71 doing battle.

Another thing I notice from these battles is that there is the following note: "This enemy will reward up to 3 top damaging players"

It would be nice if somewhere on the page it gave you a running total of who had done how much damage.

Good Point. Agreed.

True.

The timer on elites and bosses is meant to further establish urgency to the difficulty. Otherwise, anyone could just solo it themselves over a long period of time. I think the level range for this specific elite needs to be widened a bit though. Do you have anyone in your legion above Rank 80?

Its currently set to once every 12 hours. Its shared between all alert timers.

This will be added in a future release. It will work like other Facebook wall posts. However, there may still be rank requirements.

No, I am apparently the highest ranked person in my legion at rank 88. Next after me is rank 71.

You are correct, I misread this. I do think maybe it should be less on these when the time frame is much less.

This sounds great. I don't mind rank requirements, they are fair to have. It would be too easy to make someone uber powered w/o them too early. Imagine being rank 5 and having a +125 weapon.

I had the same problem when sharing a extremely rare ship only to find that only 1 person recieved it because I'm the 2nd highest rank in my legion. Maybe the range of levels could be widened to include people who are 10 to 30 levels below the original sender.

At your lvl you can do them alone ... But I'm in your legion and I didn't recall receiving the alert ... So it was a lvl 200 Elite or something? :)

Oh, it was just Big Red (Zortul, the Crimson Mothership or whatever his name is). I did in fact solo him but I would have been happy to share with two other legion mates.

What kind of CRAP is that that a player 14 lvls higher than you can attack you. When I go to the battle area I only see people near my level.

Not enough scan to find that player perhaps in Battle?

There were 2 Stryll Hunt Sensor (size 10, +50 scan, $5k upkeep) and Stryll Pathogen (200 bonus to planetary invasions for 2 days) given to the top 3.
