what version of IE do you have?
how many total planets do you have scanned so far?
have you tried clearing your entire cache (not just the history), closing out of all browser windows, counting to 10, and then try again?

Its because the game loads every planet, their mom and grand parents, it even locks up firefox and chrome for me doing that.

Actually I don't see it using firefox..
But I did see it using explorer.
I think its the planet sort routine.. just takes too long.
It was annoying enough I switched browsers.

This is an issue that affects IE7 mostly, as well as IE8. Both of these are slower browsers that can't handle sorting larger lists of planets very well. I recommend upgrading to IE9, or using Chrome/Firefox.

I wouldnt recommend using firefox for anything...
both IE and Chrome seperates each tabs into their own processes, thus making both 3x or more times faster
then firefox that barely works..

I noticed this alot last night during an attack on a level 6 base.
i managed to attack around 1+1.5 times per second with firefox,
so i changed to chrome and got up to 3 attacks a second..

IE 9 is only for vista and win7.... anyone on XP or older systems have to use FF or Chrome

i use chrome during base battles and some npc battles because of the fast response time... but for the most part i'd rather use firefox..

one specific problem i have with chrome is if i sort my artifact list alphabetically and then by target, within each target grouping it doesn't stay alphabetized....
if i do it in firefox it'll keep the alphabetized sorting for each group
to get the desired sorting in chrome i have to click target first, then shift-click artifact... but doing that turns the artifact column white... i can't read a single thing in the list anymore

too annoying so firefox is my browser of choice... but like i said, i don't notice the problem SnapDragon described when i'm using IE7..... and in fact, SnapDragon says he uses IE9

Edit: spelling error

I'm pretty sure I looked into this a long time ago and it's caused by the fact that IE pops up a script too long error based on the number of lines of code it has processed in the script. IE6 and 7 have a lower limit than IE 8 and 9 but all of them will eventually give you the script error when your planet list gets long enough because even though the script might finish quickly depending on your hardware the code after all the loops for each planet is too long.

Firefox and chrome do it with timers instead of counting lines so on an older or underpowered machine you might get a script is taking too long message on either of them with a big enough planet list but will most likely not see the error because the timers are actually pretty long.

Opera used to be awful in that when you activated or uninstalled a module, the pages would reset entirely to the ship page. Managing the Ship's Page tabs was awful. Same with selling an artifact, the page would revert to the mineral page. Ugh.

But, Opera recently fixed this. It's working quite well as an alternative browser.

I had the same problem using IE8. I changed to Firefox for this game, and it works perfectly.

I have same problem with page reset bug. BUT it was only affected on my laptop while not affected on my gaming desktop computer. I can't figure how to 'fix' the problem on my laptop. I may think it's something do with extensions or tweaks. I will take a look at my gaming computer once I get home few days later.

By the way, I'm using Chrome.

[EDIT] I found a solution. It turned out the issue caused by cookie-blocking settings in a browser. Change the cookie settings to allow all cookies or make exceptions on Galaxy Legion or Facebook cookies via Chrome options.
